On the road again (or soon to be…).
I’ll betcha you thought we’d never get going again!
After all, it’s been just about a full month since we dropped anchor here in Arizona. Perfectly in line with our scheduled 2 weeks stop!
Being jobless; Priceless.
Our latest try at a doable schedule puts us back on the road by this Saturday. We’ll see if, unlike the numerous other tries, this one comes through…
Getting ready.
Time flies when you’re having fun. And time did, in fact, pass by incredibly quickly as we were (and still are) busy unpacking, drinking beer, re-organizing, drinking beer, re-packing, re-drinking beer and enjoying the company of our friend Dave, all the while enjoying… Drinking beer.
Not only does the time go fast, the beer does too!
I’ve also fiddled around No4 quite a bit outfiiting it with new shoes (thanks Dave) and fixing all kinds of bits and pieces that needed to be addressed before Mexico.
But this wasn’t all work and stuff. Did I mention we also had a few beers? Plus we also enjoyed exploring the Arizona desert a little bit.
As our friend Chuck said, there’s a price to explore the desert. Just ask Minnie.
Time slipped through swiftly it’s true, but we are eager to hit the road again now. Mexico, Central-America, the South is calling.
And when the South calls, you go!
And how will our first “real” border crossing go? Stick around and find out…
The Mexican destination that tops our list is San Felipe, Baja California, where we will meet again with our friends Jim & Caren. Those who followed the Quadtrek 10 month ATV Adventure will remember it was Jim (from Baja UTV) who had introduced us to Mexico and beautiful Baja back in 2007.
Then we’ll be joined by Math and Jess (France’s son and daughter in-law) who will get together with us, Jim and Caren as we’ll enjoy a full day of action at the mother of all races; the Baja 1000 desert race.
Entertainment and emotions guaranteed.
Stay tuned…
Acknowledgments.
We’d like to take this opportunity (man, that sounds professional !) to warmly thank all of you who support us in this Adventure.
Starting with our respective families who put up with a somewhat higher level of stress, you are in our hearts every day.
To our dear friends, some of whom helped prepare the trip, and/or stayed back (although some would have loved to join us…) taking care of business for us pretty much daily, to friends whom we may not have been able to be as close physically as we would have wished to but who are in our thoughts just the same.
Thanks to our sponsors, of course. Your financial support is greatly appreciated.
Finally, thanks to you, our readers, for taking the time to read this. We love taking you along for the ride. Please don’t hesitate to drop us a word. It’s always a pleasure to read you.
Now, come oooooonn Mexicoooooo!
